Extension Request

If you are not able to file your New Jersey Income Tax return on time, you can apply for a 6-month extension of time to file (5½-months for filing Form NJ-1041).The extension does not apply to any tax owed. There is no extension of time to pay tax due. We will notify you only if we deny your extension request, but not until after you actually file your return.
