With a state-of-the-art telephone facility, this branch provides taxpayers with:

  • Information on New Jersey taxes;
  • Assistance to meet their New Jersey tax responsibilities (individual and business); and
  • Answers to questions about the New Jersey property tax relief programs. This includes the Homestead Benefit and Senior Freeze (PTR).

When You Call Us

We ask questions when you call to verify your identity. To protect you against hackers and identity thieves, you must answer the questions correctly before we can assist you. Have the information below ready before you call.

Individual Income Tax

  • A copy of the return in question; or
  • A copy of notice or bill; and
  • Your Social Security number and, if applicable, the Social Security number of your spouse or domestic partner.

Business Tax

  • A copy of the return in question; or
  • A copy of notice or bill; and
  • Business identification information (Identification number, address, etc.).
